| For those of you who found this site and have an interest in art, do you have a predilection for oil paintings on canvas over watercolor on paper. . .vice-versa? Can you express why you feel/think that way? |

I adore the look of watercolor. The translucency and easy going feeling of it. Oil seems so stiff and permenant to me...and unforgiving. The more I see of vibrant colors in watercolor, the more I think no other medium can compare...
Now, if I could only do it well myself! |

| I prefer any type of art executed on paper - charcoal, pencil, watercolor, monoprint, pastel. An art work on paper seems to have a more hand made feel to it. I can remember first seeing the Declaration of Independence and being impressed by the hand made feel of the parchment and the calligraphy performed by hand - a work of art. |
