Sue to Mark 23
You must be utterly exhausted. Your e-mails come in at the most ungodly hours. I know you are exhausted, because I am. This preoccupation requires so much emotional and intellectual energy and although it is draining me, I am surprisingly hyped and energized. I doubt I get more than 3-4 hours of sleep a night. The girls have started swim team practice at 6:30 three evenings a week, so that's eating up even the small amount of evening time I had. Staying focused on my schoolwork requires in inordinate amount of discipline. (In fact, I should be grading papers right now, but I rationalized that I couldn't really think properly until I had written you . . . then I might be able to concentrate better! Probably not, but it's worth a try.)
Yes, please call tomorrow night at 10:30. Or why don't I call you? We should share the phone bills. I'll plan on calling you at 10:30 unless you e-mail me otherwise.
I feel wonderful when I think about being with you on Saturday. Other than the opening moment . . .
