Heartwork
Mark to Sue 18
May 9
Dear Sue:
I hope your e-mail is up and running . . . I don't know how the past eight hours have been for you, but I've been too wired to concentrate on anything. I've also discovered my e-mails are still effective - they conveniently conceal the intensity of communications from the kids (my 14 year old was still puttering around at 11:45 last night).
I feel schizophrenic at the present. All night long I thought of you going to the symphony, but I couldn't see the seat next to you occupied by anyone but me. Who knows what drives a man in matters of the heart? So this morning I was compelled to explore the idea of making next Saturday work out (if that's still available). For me, the day itself is cleared after 12 noon and I have child care in place, plus I have been able to finesse it comfortably. As a perfectionist, I never quite get to 100% certainty about anything (I realize that perfection is difficult, if not impossible to achieve - stupid me, I keep trying even in the face of this realization, but that's another story). I am certain that I must make this first effort and next Saturday seems too ideal to let slip by - if it can still work for you. If it can, please e-mail me and I will phone you later to discuss more details.
Have a WONDERFUL day!
Mark
