Sue to Mark 9
I am home once more. I flew in early this morning. I have a world - no, a universe - of thoughts and experiences to share, but unfortunately, I'm working through a crisis with my car right now. Emalee is due to leave on a weeklong wilderness trip with her 8th grade class tomorrow morning at 6 a.m., and I couldn't purchase all her supplies while I was gone, so we got in the car this morning to go get all her stuff and it wouldn't start. Totally dead. Fortunately, I still have roadside assistance with the warranty, so I gave them a call and now we're in a waiting mode.
Briefly, Dad is doing about as well as he could under the circumstances. I will give you all the particulars when I can go into a little more detail, but for now, although he is still rather critical, and still in ICU under heavy sedation, we feel cautiously optimistic that he will recover. Praise God, who heard our cries and answered with swiftness and mercy!
The car guy came and I am once more mobile. I will return later tonight to share a slice of this unforgettable experience with you.
