Sue to Mark 7
Oh, Mark --
He may have pulled through! It looked so grim for a while, but I just got another call from my brother and Dad's heart is now beating on its own. I'm flying to San Antonio within the hour. Thank you for your prayers because these last few minutes have been so black, flooded with fear and awful memories of the days surrounding Roger's death. My mother-in-law will come to stay with the kids while I'm gone. Although he is not out of the woods, I want to be there when he wakes up. I pray I'll be able to return in a day or two when he has stabilized. Please continue to keep him (and me) in your prayers. I do hope some day you'll be able to meet him. . . he has been the world's best dad. I will return to you as soon as possible.
