Rising Star
Beginning with three prestudies, Mark leads you through the development of "Rising Star", a painting of a stable hand at a summer retreat ranch.

| This final study formed the basis for the finished painting. The composition and values were established with the exception of some background barn details and the figures emerging from the barn felt natural and life-like. Once the paint was dry, I drew a pencil line grid directly on the study, allowing me to transfer the small composition to a larger sheet of watercolor paper.
