| At this stage, the pace slowed considerably as I spent most of my time working on small details. I set up a rope in my studio so I could actually see how its appearance changed as it flowed and drooped in and out of shadows. I also set up a hat model in the studio so I could better understand how direct light and indirect light would affect the tones on the hat, as well as the value differences between the underside of the rim and the upper body. I then completed the corrugated tin roof and added texture and details to the barn wood.
